UPDATE: European exchange gas prices exceed $2,600

MOSCOW, Aug 16 (PRIME) -- The exchange gas prices in Europe grew by almost 13% and exceeded U.S. $2,600 per 1,000 cubic meters in the middle of the trading session on Tuesday for the first time since early March, according to the ICE Exchange.

The gas price at the start of the session amounted to $2,418. At 3:52 p.m., Moscow time, the price maximum reached $2,631.7.
